The North Thompson Stock Dog Association and Dogs with Jobs held their 2nd annual cattle trial on July 29 & 30, 2023. This trial was sanctioned by the Canadian Cattle Dog Association and the BC Stock Dog Association

We are proud to say that this year went really well.  It is our goal to make this an annual event and our mission to draw contestants from all over. We had people from BC, Alberta, and Washington State participate this year

Our mission is to promote this sport and try to get more people interested in good stockmanship.

It seems to be working

Our entries increased a lot. In 2022, we had 26 dogs entered each day, this year we had 42 dogs entered and turning people away. I will not take on that many dogs again. (live and learn)

I do have to say that I paid out over $13,000 in prize money. Plus the aggregate buckles.

Next year we are going to add a Jr event for handlers under 18 yrs.
